In der f\u00fcr \u00fcber 15 Millionen Euro errichteten Forschungsfabrik wird unter anderem rund um das Thema nachhaltigere Verpackungskonzepte geforscht und entwickelt. Das Sustainable Packaging Institute (SPI) befindet sich dort noch im Aufbau und bearbeitet derzeit 15 \u00f6ffentlich gef\u00f6rderte Forschungsprojekte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dabei wird die gesamte Wertsch\u00f6pfungskette vom Rohstoff bis zum verpackten Produkt betrachtet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ob Biopolymere, Papier oder petrochemisch hergestellte Polymere f\u00fcr Folien &#8211; Prof. Schmid m\u00f6chte eine neutrale und unvoreingenommene Forschung und Lehre rund um verpackte Lebensmittel, Kosmetika und Pharmaprodukte etablieren.
