Easy opening and closing are typical convenience functions, but increasing the sustainability of the entire product cycle of the packaged goods is also becoming increasingly important. Thus, trends towards more recyclable packaging are currently in particular focus, but must not be optimized at the expense of the product shelf life/protective function.Companies also perceive packaging as a marketing tool and the "face of the brand". Packaging can be seen and experienced even before the actual product. Therefore, they have a major communication task.
